I was curious, has anyone ever experimented with
de-stroking? Just thought a high reving 3.8 would be sweet...

Indy engines and a few others have been built.

But, our stock block engines have a problem with crankshaft walk and the rods are not made to take high rpm. For daily drivers, the old saying, "The only thing that beats cubic inches is cubic money" is pretty hard to beat.

The whole idea behind our combos is a flat torque curve from go to whoa.

I thought the saying was "There's no replacement for displacement."

Course. The boys in Detroit (and elsewhere) have a saying as well. "Speed costs money. How fast do you wanna go?"
