Has anyone ever had a problem with the dash lights suddenly start blowing the fuse? I haven't done anything to the car that would affect this, it just started doing it out of the blue. I will start chasing my tail on this problem tommorrow.

might check the gray wire in the console to see if it is pinched and shorted

and if you've been running a converter for laptop or other accessories off the cigarette lighter, trace that wire back to the fuse box. I've seen a few that were melted.

Found the problem. Power wire for gear indicater bulb pulled out and was touched shifter base. I don't normally drive at night so I didn't notice when it happened.
