TTII's have an Aluminum center with a STEEL wheel thumb_do Plus formerly working in the custom wheel world, American Racing is the CHEAPIE (quality) in custom rims. crazy

Don't believe everything you hear. TT2's are all aluminum. I have them on my GN and really like them. They seem to be a good quality wheel to me.

I also have the TT II wheels and they are not steel. Too light to be steel and require a lot of polishing to keep clean.

Cragar sucks, I had a set of SST's they way a ton and the chrome on the center part of wheel
peeled also the bolts rust. I threw them away. I also have the Torque thrust D's they are all
aluminum and great quality, I have them for 15 years now . Wow now I feel old. The cragars are steel and some kind of Sh loser t metal in the center. I also had Centerline Autodrags, they are simply awesome and super light.

ugh You people who think TT2's are ALL aluminum need to RECHECK your wheels. They are NOT ALL ALUMINUM. The center is, but the wheel is STEEL.
crazy

Well, I can't get a magnet to stick to any part of my TT II wheels. Does that tell you anything.

OK then what is a good 17" inch wheel i should get? and what are the dimesnsions...i think i can run a 17 X 8 up front and a 17 X 9.5 in the rear if the car isnt lowered. i think i could fit 245 and 275 tires on the front and rear.

What wheel is good?

how about simmons wheels. they're sweet, and they're ad in GM high tech performance has the wheelwell of a GNX (you can barely see the louvers) with a sweet looking wheel on it. one thing tho, is i'm sure they're expensive but if you're in the market then i guess you already know you're gonna be spending some money for wheels.
