I just got my new cap in last night, followed the direction all the way up to spinning the cam sensor shaft to light up the LED. I spun it slowly Counter Clockwise a full 360 degrees and never got a light. Key On Engine off.

So I probed the harness and got now power coming in on any wire. So I installed my Ignition module/Coilpak to see if that made a difference, and now I have power coming in on the blue and the grey and red wires.
Still no light on the cam sensor cap when I rotate it, though.

I currently have no other sensors hooked up, and when I took the original cap off at TDC, the window was pointing up at around 2 o'clock instead of the factory 4 o'clock. This shouldn't make a difference, but it goes to show that it has been messed with.

Just wondering where I should go from here.
Thanks.

As you found out, it has to have a module/coil connected to work at all.

Assuming that you followed the directions correctly with regard to TDC, etc., I would call Caspers and relate the problem to them.

No...and your wire colors make no sense??

There should be three wires..

gray/red

blue

black

I think the gray/red should be powered with the key on

The black should be a ground

and I think the blue is periodic, but, I am not sure.

Reading again...you probably meant gray/red and not a red wire and a gray wire :)

Hah, yeah, that's what I meant, that WAS a little confusing.
Thanks for the help.
