This thing is over the top! Guys spent $12000 on the eight jet engines. You gotta turn the volume up to get the effect...

It took 3 of them to fly the thing, and two years to build it. Can you imagine how nervous they were on this maiden flight?

Sooo coool. I want one! :D

It's a superfortress - right?

I guess they need another guy to retract/open the landing gear.

Here is a picture of it. It has a 22 foot wing span.

That thing is crazy! I think I need a couple of those engines on the Buick... I think its a stratofortress, the superfortress was the B-29 circa WWII. Thanks for the link!
That's cool! Does it have a little hatch that will open so you can drop eggs on people like Zap?

If you want to lay a yolk on a yokell - go ahead. He might not get it though.... :)

BTW what the heck does your avatar have printed on it anyway? With the Opera browser I can enlarge it by pressing 8 on the numeric pad, but it's too grainy!

"Now entering Winnipeg" - THEN WHAT!!! :dunno: :dunno:

We were bored something something, What's your excuse? :dunno: :dunno:

Hey wait let's see if anyone else has an idea, could be fun! :D

Wait wait, is it "We were born here what's your excuse"?
There's a video of it crashing on there too... :eek!:
It was the sign on one of the Simpson episodes when Homer and the gang came to Winnipeg for cheap Canadian drugs.

I'd use hard boiled eggs on Zap! :headbang:

Zaps head scoffs at hard boiled eggs. You'd have better luck attempting to discover the key to the universe in a Pauley Shore movie!
:)

The egg might get stuck if you hit the dunce cap dead center tho'!
did you guys see the video of it crashing??? click on the link that Dave65 put up;;
dam, it looked awesome ....dam shame it had to crash, alot of hard work going down.
for a second it looked like a real plane crashing with the black smoke coming up.. WHY would you even try to fly in that type of weather (listen to the wind) what a dumb a**..

Kudos for pushing the limits. Kinda like us turning up the boost until we can recite the part number for headgaskets from memory....
:D

Too much wind? looks like it went belly up. B-52's don't fly upside down. Evidently. :D
I flew Angelina Joilie's Airplane last Friday 5/19

I've got your attention! I flew a "Cirrus" SR22-GTS on Friday, it's the same airplane she owns and flys. (not hers of course) A composite constructed aircraft with a parachute recovery system and glass screen instrument panel. These are built right here in Duluth, Minnesota. Cost lots of Bennies, $448,000 to be exact. Cruises at 185 kts, burns 17 gal/hour fuel. A dream flight for me as these are way over my ability to own one. Cirrus is going to CA to film her for a sales ad. in the near future. I'm a Commercial, Instrument, Instructor rated pilot with 1800 hrs. I worked in this industry for several years before wrenching on ground based vehicles. One of my loves too! I'm probably going back into this field, as the industry is moving into some of our Buick tuning, with computer controlled fuel/spark systems, hell even a crank triggered system like the Buicks and others have and even a pressurized fuel rail. Gene :sw:
I'm sorry it had to crash, really.....but that didn't stop me from watching it crash about 7 times.
Gene, if you liked the Cirrus, take a look at my dad's airplane that he just finished building. It is a Lancair IV-P, cruises at 270 knots, 24,000 feet, pressurized, twin turbo, burns 17 GPH. He built the whole thing inluding the instrument panel will full glass cockpit.
Top Speed, a great looking airplane for sure and very fast! The Cirrus is a remarkable one too! Easy to fly, very stable, fast and has all the goodies including the XM Sat. Weather. I meant to post this under a new post but keyed it in wrong? LOL Gene :sw:
