Im considering buying a turbo from Extreme Turbo. Does anyone know anything about them good or bad? Do you know anyone who uses one? Any info would be appreciated?
Thanks Scott

I bought one a few months ago from extreme. The guys name is Daniel and he is pretty nice. He claims that he works closely with John Craig. I got a TA-49 and it has been really good so far. The one bad thing is the time it took to get it. I ordered it and didn't get it for about 10 weeks...I almost cancelled my order. The turbo has about 1,000 miles and I raced with it and got to 12.60 with some tuning problems. Hope this helps.

Yep, Daniel is the same guy i talked to. Nice guy. So the turbo works ok, did you install it yourself? Did you get the oil feedline filter?
Thanks Scott

I installed it myself and it was simple. I'd take a picture of it for you if I had a digital cam...but I don't
. I did not use the turbo saver as I was told that it was not worth the money...leaks a lot and VERY hard to change the filter. Putting alky bottle there instead. Daniel told me that he likes the idea of the turbo saver oiling system but he doesn't require it for the warrenty. $200 core fee too...don't forget it.

See ya,
Kev

If pricing is competitive, you might want to considder giving your business to the only two major T/R turbo suppliers we have, namely, Limit Engineering or Precision Turbo & Engine.
Core charges have been eliminated by both suppliers.

What are they asking for a TE-44?

I thought Daniel said it was $100 for the core charge.

Thanks for the info guys. Scott

Our pricing for a TE44 is $675.00.
No elbow is included as nearly everyone who wants to maximize their turbo's efficiency has or is buying a Terry Houston DP.

No cores required, or charges for, with the turbos we sell.

Do you carry one or both of the 2 big names in turbos that you mentioned? With or w/o wastegates? Shipping included and how long to receive?
Thanks Scott

We market turbos made by both Limit and PT&E.

Both manufacturers make quality turbos, and are available with or without elbows or actuators. You have your choice of turbo size and turbine housing configuration , whichever suits and matches well with your existing or projected recipe combo. This is the most critical aspect of being able to select the best turbo.

Shipments usually go out within a few days of
placing your order.

HMMM. Sounds like someone needs to tighten the fittings. I hav'nt had any probs or leaks from my turbosaver. My filter is just as easy to change as the stock location.
