One question I have, are the 84-5 compressors the same as the 86-7 cars???
They will be in the $60 range if I decide to go ahead with selling them. Hardest part is getting the adapter tight into the compressor. Still haven't figured out how to lock it so I can't tighten the adapter as tight as I wanted. Just held the clutch by hand and tightened the adapter as much as I could with a basin wrench and it seems to be fine. Used red loctite for some extra insurance.
This cover is sort of hefty at around 1.5 lbs but it basically just sits there unless you are running the compressor. Doubt if anyone is going to make a full on pass with the AC running and I think the compressor shuts down at WOT if memory serves me right.
