Is there any mechanical differences between an 86 T-type or GN and an 87 T-type or GN. I know the grills are different. Is anything else different? Is one year quicker than the other stock vs. stock? Thanks for the info.

No real differences other than trim and options. 235 (86) and 245 (87) hp ratings came from marketing dept and not dyno room. '86's may be faster as a group because they are generally lighter (higher percentage with Al bumper supports, more '87's were special ordered loaded with options)

'86 and '87 run identical when equipped the same.
