Now I know putting a Q-jet on a N/A V6 will boost HP but what about low end power? The book by Dong Roe is a little vague about this. I am planning using the car as a daily driver and not for racing.
You will pick up a little at bottomend, mostly in the mid range you will see the power gain. No problems with street duty..that would come into play with a cam.
you can play with it a little to help peformance too. The Roe book is great and explains a lot of it, if it is an e-qjet I was told just to play with the secondaries and leave the primaries alone.
Make sure the secondary air door on top of the carb opens all the way.
I played with the e-qjet on my 307 and picked up noticible power, and I learned a ton too, it was my first carb, and I was 16.
