Well, the egr is kinda two step process. Again, I only know the ic cars, but, the code 32 comes from a malfunction of the egr solenoid....could be low vacuum or the solenoid is bad.
Now, the egr valve itself is controlled by vacuum thru the solenoid.
There should be no vacuum going to the diaphram at idle. If you pull the hose off the egr diaphram and plug it with your finger, you should not feel any vacuum coming from it at idle. If you do, it would appear the solenoid is bad. If the idle gets better when you do this, then it would appear that the diaprham was being pulled open when it was supposed to be closed.
Altho it should not cause a code 32, an egr valve that is not sealed tightly to the intake will cause very bad running at idle as well.
