I've been having quite a difficult time finding any agreed value policies for my 87 GN. I've gotten it appraised and it's value is much higher than the blue book, but I can't find anyone that would give me that, regardless of premium.

I don't qualify for classic car insurance, as I'm only 23, and now my current insurer might be dropping me anyways, since the appraisal listed my mods (bigger turbo, injectors, chip, methanol). I don't have a garage to park it in and actually like to drive my car places (I never go to shows or anything like that, so those policies aren't really good for me anyways).

Does anyone know where I can go for insurance? I hate the idea of driving it and losing basically everything if it gets stolen or I wreck it. But now, I'm considering taking it off the road till I turn 25, which would be horrible.

Have you tried this company.

Echelon General Insurance

Find a broker in your area and talk it over with them.

Hope this helps.

I have "regular" insurance on GN #2 but I also have code 19 or 19A on it that is the agreed value policy. In other words if I have a total loss I know exactly what I am going to get for it. This *should* be available for you with your regular insurance but I am not sure, I am in my 40's.

Good luck,

Im with these guys too.
Your car will be insured as a recreation vehicle. Drive any time any where except to work. Yearly mileage restriction iir. Still can drive many miles though( forgot the amount.) 19a is the agreed value as per appraiser. the 19 depreciates - avoid.
Rates are great. I'm insured year round. ( The car is an animal in the cold Dec air. )
The other companies turned me off with the restrictions.

I've been with a family owned broker for close to 30 years. I get it appraised every 3-4 years & have the 19A agreed with Economical
Check out Peter at KP Scharfe Insurance Brokers 629 St Clair Ave 416 653-0653
Altho driving to work may be your biggest issue other than your age.
I have a separate work vehicle & I believe that it's mandatory but you can see what he says? Call before lunch as he is on calls in the afternoon.
