i thought it was 87.86 was 235hp and 330ft lb.87 was 245hp and 355ft lb

Differences are insignificant, and are not 100% 86/87 differences (model year vs. production date, aluminum vs steel parts, etc.). HP ratings were just a farce to keep the GM brass happy because of lower Corvettte ratings. Real HP for both years was closer to 275.
