i recently got a hold of a 78-81 turboed buick v6 with SPFI. what year exactly i am unsure of but what i really need to know is if it is possible switch this engine over to MPFI.

i am looking to put this engine into an 85 celica and it is going to be rebuilt for performance use. i am looking at taking it to at least 10-12 second times on the quarter mile. if anyone can give me any advice at all as to what to do to achieve this or if it is even worth the time with this engine i would greatly appreciate it. also if you could recomend or 4 or 5 speed manual tranny that bolts up to this engine that i would be able to use it too would be appreciated. thanks a bunch guys!!!

You're gonna need to do some serious studying before going further. You're off on your information.

78/83 Turbo Buicks were carbureted, not EFI

84/87 Turbo Buick were SFI. Almost stock, they will go twelves in a little Celica. Why MFI?

Stick with an auto. I know you won't belive me, so try searching the old posts for the countless debates why manual won't work well.
