There are 2 vac ports on the throttle body. 1st one is on the right side and the 2nd is on the bottom points to right side. What were this for? :dunno:

Sounds like the where the coolant lines went to the throttlebody.Bypassing that is one of the free/cheap mods people would do.It was believed it would run cooler if there was no hot antifreeze running through the throttlebody. :dunno: I may be wrong but I think that is what you are describing. :thinking:

There is no lines on them now and they only had what looks like valve stem caps plugging them.

On the big metal coolant line that runs along the top of the valve cover to the back towards the heater core, if there is a small hose that loops from one port to the other like the one in the pic below,then the throttle body coolant lines have been bypassed.Otherwise there will be 2 small coolant lines going to the throttlebody.

Thanks pic helped :D It has the bypass..so it's not vacuum ports...no vac leaks there.
