Post Performance Vendors in Buffalo area

Hi..New member Here..

I've had my 87 GN since '91. I haven't dropped a dime into since I bought it....
until this summer.

It started with a web search on repairing powermaster brakes, and the credit cards began to warm.

I did the brakes (accumulator), then thought cold air kit with pipes would be nice, Adjustable wastegate & FPR are required, I definitely need scan tool & laptop, those rusted tailpipes gotta go so cat back dual exhaust ordered. Upgraded fuel pump is a must since everyone has one, boost gauge,fp gauge required ETC ETC.
(end of rant)

Anyway I found this forum and figured I'd jump in. Are there any local vendors for parts for our cars (I live in lancaster). I know of pretty much all the major vendors out there on the web, just wondered if there are any locally I can support.

I'm currently in neeed of a MAF as my readings aren't quite up to where I need them, and I need a drivers header repaired (suprised ?).

Winter will be injectors and chip upgrade..

Anyone with a TIG welder fcan do the header, just make sure whoever does it, bolts it to a head first to prevent warping. As far as a MAF goes, thats up to you, i got lucky with my aftermarket one. Most people arent lucky and wind up taking them back 3-4 times before getting a good one. Next mod for me is the translator with ls1 maf.

Mark Burnham owns a TR shop - a good contact for parts or repairs.
Check the WNY Turbo Buick Web Page (links) for more details:

The http://gnttype.org has a nice section on repairing
powerMONSTER brakes

Kevin,

My problem is what you pointed out, finding a welder AND someone with a block to bolt it too. I know a few welders, but none with a block on hand. You know any ?

The MAF issue is a pain too. At all the auto stores, it's special order. I'll have a hard time convincing them to get 3-4 so I can road test 'em if theres an issue.

Vendors

I have had good success with ESP just down the road (from Lanc. NY) in Pennsylvania ... John Perri is a very knowledgeable guy.

Also have good service from HandRPArtsNstuff.. by mail order.

Good luck with the steroids treatment on yer GN.
