Thanks brophy also do you have a 3.625 or 3.400 crank reason why i ask is i got a 3.400 rpm crank i thought it was a 3.625. and 6.2 crower rods billet J&E pistons that was built for a 4.1 asembly i bought from a guy new,i changed my mind on 8s i want to go high 9 or a 10. to many parts breaking, also wen your engine was machined was all your sleaves push down or did they go down wen you put the heads on,thanks for the info.

3.625 stroke.

Read your directions that you received with the block before you do anything!

Installed torque plates and torqued using studs, than used a large soft mallet to beat on the torque plates to further seat the sleeves. If I remember right the height went from around .012 above down to around .004 above.

The machine shop reinstalled the torque plates & torqued to specs checking for any further movement before decking the block which there was no more sleeve movement. My block deck height was not the same on each side with this block and being it was new and not yet run, which may further "sink" the sleeves my deck heights are not the same on each side. On the first rebuild that will be corrected.

PS: I think KD has made as much as 1500 HP using this block with no damage.

I purchased the crank and rods from Dan Strezo (DLS Engine Development) a while ago and used first in another engine, however any engine builder/machine shop should be able to get you quality parts. I will PM Coleman's number.

Which heads are on the car SE heads or SI heads. I have a similar build that doesn;t make 1/2 the power yours makes. So I am wondering if my heads are the issue.

Better to be retarded sometimes! than to be advanced.
