I sent you a Private Message with my email on 4-21 at 10:37 AM, it's still in my sent folder.

Strange you didn't get it, I sent you another one.

Thanks again, I'll wait to hear from you via PM or email so we can talk about the grill.

PS: I noticed your Charleston AFB... know a bunch of guys at Byrd Field in Richmond Virginia, home of the 149th Fighter Squadron (F-16s) who take their heritage directly from the 328th Fighter Squadron, which was one of 3 squadrons of the 352nd Fighter Group (one of the most famous of WWII) in which I am a member of that organization.

Ive got 2 off of 86 GN's. One has a broken fin near the top. The broken fin is visible only when looked at real close. The other is in good shape. If you want one let me know. It may take a few days if you want pics though. Email me your phone # if you want me to call. [email protected] A friend of mine has a NOS one he will sell also. Email if interested. Put 86 GN grill as subject.

Email sent Brian.

To anyone listening...

Looking for a 86 GN grill in good condition. (that means no broken fins, no broken pieces, no chunks missing, no missing parts, not rock-blasted from 250k of highway tailgating, good chrome, and so on)

I'm not interested in T-Type grills, or 85 grills, chrome grills, and so on. I don't want anything that has a cutout (notches in fin) for an emblem. I'm not using an emblem on this grill, I don't want the finished product to look like something is missing.

I want a factory black grill, chrome on top strip where it says Buick, chrome center fin, and chrome on both outer fins. That's it.

I need one asap. Thanks to those trying to help.

Did you get my picture? When the T-type emblem is removed it doesn't leave any holes that I'm aware of.

Not holes, but some have a "cut-out" in the large vertical fin where the emblem goes.

That's not what I'm looking for.

Everyone who sends me pictures keep telling me they are all the same... they are not all the same. Thick vertical strips, no thick vertical strips, cut-out on vertical strip for emblem, no cut-out on vertical strip for emblem, and so on.

I'm looking for a plain-jane 86 Grand National grill.

They are discontinued so be prepared to pay good $$$ for a good grill. I may know of someone who has one though. I'll have to check and report back.

I'm not trying to screw wildcard out of a sale but you do know the GN grille is different than that T-Type grill. 84-86 GN used the same grille. It was also the same one used on the 84 T-Type. 85-86 T-type used the one pictured. Note the difference in the fins. In a jamb you can use the 1984 Regal chrome grille as it is also the same casting as the GN. You just need to paint it black. I just thought I'd pass the info along in case being correct matters to you.

So are chrome ones, but NOS can be had for as little as $200. I can buy an NOS 86 GN grill for $275. You can still buy New 87 grills for $200.

Plently of people have sent me pictures of used grills for sale, many different conditions, different styles, differtent prices from $30 to $100. If you have one for sale, in the style I'm looking for, I'm all ears.

It does matter, thanks. That's what I was talking about when I said 84 the same, only I said GN when I meant T-Type. (I figured most people knew what I was talking about, seemed pretty obvious) 86 GN grill.

As I described above, the most important factor is the "CUT-OUT" in the grill. I'm not going to be using an emblem in the grill, so if it has a "CUT-OUT" in the vertical fin it's useless to me. I don't want the finshed product to look like something is missing.
