Very good condition
Asking $15,000 obo **PRICE REDUCED FROM $17,500!!**

This car has been my pride and joy for 15 yrs. and I promised myself that I would never sell it, but unforeseen financial needs have given me no choice after delaying this painful decision for over a year. My loss is your gain, for a well cared for GN that has not been raced and abused like many of these fabulous cars. The proof of this is that this engine has never been opened other than for valve springs and a timing chain, which were both replaced for precautionary reasons and not out of necessity. The rear main seal has also been replaced so this stock engine is still running strong and neither burns nor leaks oil. The turbo and intercooler are original as well and still function perfectly. The transmission has not been opened either, and is still working flawlessly. All of these factors give testimony to the way this car has been taken care of.

Here is the extensive list of improvements I’ve done to the car in the past couple of years:

-ATR Dual Stainless Exhaust with Driver’s Header Welded recently
-100# Comp Cam Valve Springs
-30# Green Stripe Injectors
-Walbro 340 Fuel Pump with Hotwire Kit
-New Timing Chain (to mechanics surprise, the original was still perfect when removed)
-Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator
-Adjustable Wastegate
-New Rear Main Seal
-New Water Pump
-New Coil Pack and Wires
-New Conversion to Vacuum Brake System
-Complete New Front End (Ball Joints; Bushings; Idler Arm; Control Arm Shaft; Tierod Ends)
-KYB Shocks (all 4)
-Open K&N Cone Filter
-New Battery and Starter
-Fuel Tank Replaced
-Turbo Tweak High Performance Chip and also Turbo Tweak Emissions Chip included
-Oil Fill Tube and Breather Bypass
-New Washer Fluid and Coolant Reservoirs
-New Intercooler Shroud and Scoop
-Boost Gauge
-Window Rattle Kits installed
-Brushed Aluminum Horn Ring (instead of the plastic ones that always crack)
-New Upper Dash Panel (not installed yet)
-Sony CD & Amp, with aftermarket speakers and custom sub
-GN Floor Mats

Here is the short list of issues that I am aware of with the car:

-cracked windshield
-cracked headlight
-a couple of nicks out of Original Stock GN Wheels
-small 1” seam tear on driver’s seat (barely noticeable in otherwise almost flawless interior)
-small piece of plastic broken off the driver’s side upper door panel where the door pull strap screws into the door
-upper dash panel not installed as aftermarket speakers were installed sitting to high, so they need to be lowered somehow or replaced to install the new panel
-some bubbling of paint at bottom rear corner of doors
-could use new paint (still turns heads with a good wax, but would be show quality with new paint)

To sum up, this is a great stock ’87 GN. It has been very well taken care of, and the miles it has are mostly highway. Mechanically the car is fantastic, with a strong stock engine, turbo and trans, but with all of the performance improvements that most GN guys desire. With the front end replaced and the braking system converted, this car steers and brakes better than it did the day I bought it 15 yrs ago, and probably better than it did off the showroom floor. The interior is almost flawless and extremely clean and has never been smoked in, making you wonder how this car could have that many miles of use. The often problematic headliner is perfect in this car and the cloth and dash are also perfect. It has the sought after stock GN wheels in good condition. For an added uniqueness to this car, it is actually a Canadian GN. I had slowly been checking off my list of improvements with addressing the exterior being next on my list to make this a show quality GN. If I could find a way to keep it, a paint job and windshield were the next items, but as I said, it will still look great with a new windshield and a good wax.

The car is currently in the Phoenix area in storage with a relative, while I am now living in Hawaii. They are more than willing to assist a potential buyer in viewing the car or arranging to ship the car, but she knows nothing about the car itself, so all questions will have to be directed to myself. I hope I can find a good home for this great car that feels more like best friend to me than a vehicle.
