| Lancaster track rental The Sept. 17 track rental at Lancaster had several Turbo Buicks in attendance. Larry Gable was again the quickest and quietest there. His personal best was a 6.46. Mark Burnam was not far behind with a 6.49. Im told a 6.38 1/8 is a 9.98 1/4. The track conditions were not very good with poor starting line traction. Neither Larry or Mark could leave very hard. Lots of tire spin and hairy rides. Both guys were still dialing in their cars. I'm sure both will be faster. If Chuck continues these track rentals next year maybe we should hook up with him and have a Buick show. What do you think? Phil. We would probably have to look into some kind of track prep. |
