back to the question...aluminum hood?

Myth of the aluminum hood? Is this true? I read it in a hot rod mag from 1995 and it said only 5 gn’s where produced with aluminum hoods? I just need clarification… if this is true that means there are 5 proto type gn's out there with very rare facotry produced aluminum hoods! this would b amazing!
thanx all
ps: ill copy the article for the next meeting

This was in Car Craft Mike Hannah 87 Buick GN Feb 1995. The article
says that the aluminum hood is one of five made. A Buick Prototype.
That claim has never been proven. He ran a 10.38@132 with a Stage II
about 4/10 slower than Larry will be running in April.

If you had GM part numbers/RPO numbers that would put an end to
the mystery of the factory aluminum hood. Some other things that
people wondered about for years did turn out to be true such as
turbo 82 GN's. It would be a valuable option!
