| OK, I've got a computer question...I bought a digital camera recently (Fujitsu). It came with a USB interface cable; it's supposed to look like a drive when plugged in so you can download the pictures. However, my computer won't recognize the camera or do much of anything. Following the camera software's manual, I've removed and reinstalled the USB drivers; no dice. I have used the camera and USB cable on a laptop at work to download pictures, so I know they're functional. Now what? I'd like to be able to do more than look at the stupid pictures on the camera's display! ![]() ------------------ Orange Park, FL various cars, some running

| Kendall, you don't have a Hewlett Packard computer do you? The USB port on my "Easy Access Front Panel" has never worked. Plugged it into the rear USB and worked fine. ------------------

| Update: Mike wins the prize. The USB was turned off in the chipset options in the BIOS. I have no idea why they'd put the USB in and turn it off by default, but.. I have pics now...just need to upload some and post.------------------ Orange Park, FL various cars, some running

| possible reasons the USB would be turned off ... I know before win98...when win95C had USB support the computer company I worked for kept USB turned off because devices were not out there and 95C's USB support was sketchy... Also it might have been conflicting with something... or maybe they were just bein dumb ..it's problably the third one since it sounds like a newer computer and how you bought it and all
