| Track has street racing from 12am-4am. Somehow I managed to stay up. Got in line, all the way to race and the guy wanted my tech sheet. I did not know I needed it for street racing. Left my tri-focals at home, could not read. Had to have a tech guy read it to me. Left with no boost and ran 13.9. Had to have a kid read it to me as I could not see. Got back in line and the tech guy said I needed a helment. I guess my pink Eclipse hat did not work for him. They told me they would let me run one more time. I left at 7-9psi boost, got bad wheel hop and let off. Ran 14.1. Had the kids read it to me again. Let the car cool down. They let me run again. Left at 5 psi. Had the kids read the slip and they said I ran a 12.9 @ 106mph. I told them that must of been the mustang and they said no it was me. (Mustang beat me as I was sitting there building boost.) I was 3x the age of anyone there, but, they accepted me in my pink Eclipse hat. I have now acheived my time goals, I will start working on my in-car dancing moves and will give up speed parts for neon! Let the car Got

Sitting at the line building boost doesnt affect your time. As long as you havent broken the staging beams your time doesnt start even if the Light is sitting there green. So Basically screw your reaction time, Who cares... Leave when the car is ready cause it doesnt affect your time. Get a Helmet You have a GN, It will time for a Cage if your not carefull with these cars ![]() ------------------ -Mike 1989 Turbo Trans-Am 11.25@121 Rebuilding Motor 1998 LS1 Trans-Am 6-Speed 13.10@106 *Factory Stock* |

I have to wear my reading glasses when I drive the 86 as I cannot read the water temp, boost or voltage gauges in the GNX dash without them! I figure if I ever get stopped, the officer will let me go out of pity! ![]()
