New Dog

Well, I spent a lot of time looking for another dog after having to put Eddie down. I looked at pedigrees, hybrids and mutts. I was looking for a puppy. Then I came across Maddie. I haven't officially taken her. The adoption agency is letting me live with her for awhile. She's been with me almost three weeks now. I don't know much about her past, just that someone dumped her at the adoption place. She's about 3-4 years old.
I am amazed at her good behavior. Someone taught her lots of tricks, which I don't really care about. She follows me everywhere and never takes her eyes off of me. From the first night, she curled up next to my bed and when I wake up, there she is waiting for me to wake up. I have never had to put her on a lease. She follows me wherever we go.
She's the calmest, most laid-back dog I have ever met, which is perfect for me. Every time we walk out the back door she jumps into the ice cream truck ready to go. When I sit to watch TV or get on the computer, she lays across my feet.

Congrats! Now finalize that adoption! My secretary had to put down her beagle about the same time you went through all of this, and she fostered a beagle for about a month from a beagle rescue place, and then adopted it about a week ago.

Sounds like a really good dog. Most that look like a black lab can be a handfull when they're young.

Congrats and yes finalize the adoption, she looks like a keeper.

Dogs are the best bar none, I would take every dog in the world if I could, they all want for nothing, just want to be loved and love you back unconditionally.

Ed.........that was a funny caption...........made me laugh out loud
