Give it to me straight, what the hell is this on my leg?

This itchy rash thing is driving me nuts. It's been on my leg, abit smaller since Memorial Day weekend. I noticed it when we were camping. I have tried every cure for ringworm I've found. Peroxide, ringworm medicine (just seems to make it angry and itchy), a penny soaked in vinegar, alcohol, tea tree oil etc etc. I am starting to think it's not ringworm. Sure does itch, which is why it's worse looking today. I itched the snot (literally) out of it last night while sleeping and now it's oozing stuff down my leg. Yes I know I should go to the doctor and I will, but I just wanted to poll our vast knowledge base of users here to see if this has happened to anyone else! If this isn't ringworm, what could it be? Buick technical support and medical advise all in one place!

Don't play around.. get to the DR! It looks similar to a bite from a Brown Recluse Spider

Next bet would be a staph infection

I don't know about the rash, but you have a very attractive leg (except for the thing).

Mike,

I think with the utensils behind you and with the craftiness of McGyver you could take that screwdriver, remote control, mouse and CD and manufacture a way to cut that out and then go on to save America from bad guys and get the girl at the end.

But hey at least you didn't walk into a wire hanger and I like the fact that we can freely post here all of our injuries with pics, gotta love TBS.com.

Seriously Jesse may be right and get that checked out, you have to be able to dance at your wedding

Looks like a infected tick bite. Do your joints hurt? Better get checked for Lyme disease . Get yourself to the hospital fast.

if you have had it since memorial day you can rule out the spider bite "Within 24 hours, the bite site can erupt into a "volcano lesion" (a hole in the flesh due to damaged, gangrenous tissue)." looks like poision ivy,,,that you kept scratching

OMG! get to a Dr. NOW!!! Thats a bite from a rare Alacomonda spider native to the south east. My friend had a bite half that size and he had to get his leg amputated! **** dude!

In all seriousness, my friend got bit by a Brown Recluse and it looked nothing like that. If it was a BR you'd be dying in pain and you DEFFINATLY wouldn't be scratching it. Not to mention you'd end up with a creator in your leg.

Looks like poison oak or sumac or ivy.

Mike, is that the only place you have it on your body? If so then I would rule out Poison IVY because that would spread especially if you have touched it. I had a very bad case of Poison IVY last year (still made it to Norwalk mind you) but was very uncomfy. None of us are Dr's here so get to one fast!
