good digital camera for close up detail

Got any recommendations for a digital camera that takes good close ups? Something along the lines of taking a picture of a circuit board and being able to follow all the traces.

I'd imagine a decent digital camera with 'macro' ability would be what you're looking for. It's a little tricky with the lighting though, but can be done.

Hey, do you still have that Fuji camera you got from me? It will definitely do close ups like that. Put the camera in macro mode, turn the flash OFF, use a external light (since you aren't using the flash) and the camera will take pictures as close as the end of the wrist strap. It's only takes a few trial and error shots to figure out what angle the light source needs to be coming from but it will take a great 1600x1200 picture. The first thing that I noticed when I bought a new camera to replace that one is the macro ability of that Fuji was superior to a camera 4 times the price. I bought my new Optio S6 because it fits inside of an altoids can, but macro shots with it aren't that great.
