Stolen Phone

Ok, so some little punk stole my phone from my truck last night. When I called it sounded like some little mexican kid (thug) and he hung up on me. Is there a way to find out where my phone is? I will deffinitely be looking at the calls made and following up with the numbers. I am sooooo pissed. I never got this pissed off in Iraq when people were shooting at me. What would you do? Keep in mind that vengance is what I want. Have a nice day!
Thanks

That was ME who answered! I can't believe that was YOUR phone!!

Seriously, check your account online.
Check the numbers that are called.
Do a reverse search on the numbers, or call back the numbers late at night.

Ya never know. One might lead you right down the street!

Happy hunting,

ElectraJim

I don't think this guy could write. He will most likely be airbrushing impalas at $120 an hour but I will find him and kill him or at least tease him some (or kill him). Nice ideas though.

it can be found with GPS. All phones for the last couple of years have to be E911 compliant in case you can dial 911 but can't talk.

Now getting the authorities to actually do anything about it is another story all to itself.

Never had mine stolen but actually thought about the situation before. The best I can come up with is I would call from a payphone or someone elses phone. I talk real fast or leave a voice message, something to the effect of "sorry took so long to get the money up but I got it I am leaving it at ........." may give them a figure like $1000 or so.

Anyone that would steal your phone would come for the money. Lay and wait for them.

You need to have the number disconnected or notify your carrier. Unless it is a prepaid phone, then you are screwed.

If you want to F' with the guy... do like Scott said... or leave it active for a bit to get an idea of who their calling, and F' with them...lol.

Otherwise... contact your carrier, they'll shut off that phone and get you a new one on your number.

Earl is right... Authorities will do absolutley nothing about it. About this time next year, AT&T will have consumer GPS tracking ability so you can find your phone VIA a web app(Guidepoint uses it for locating stolen cars already)... that'll make life interesting for theives, unless they switch the SIM

I'm sure other carriers will offer that as well.

Good luck.

Just cancel it & move on. Is a phone worth all that anger? I mean there are so many things to really get pissed about & a phone isnt one of them IMO. I mean, you really gonna kick the crap out of a punk 15 year old kid over this & get an assault charge? Then you go to jail & he laughs!

That's the beauty of most of today's technology. If you're unfortunate enough to be on a TDMA/GSM network like AT&T the SIM card can be changed.

The vast majority of other carriers are on CDMA networks now. No SIM cards in CDMA. Stupid old technology no longer needed.

They would have to find all of his pieces first!

Yeah... but that's just about the only down side to the SIM cards. The benefits FAR outweigh the risks associated with using SIM's.

So I took your advise. I texted him and told him that I had the grand I owed and that I would leave it under my door mat and gave him the address. I turned off all the house lights and put some clp on my rifle. I grabbed a surefire light, a kbar, and a joint and got onto the roof of my house. About 30 minutes went by and I saw some lights coming by slow.

I had broken my silhouette by using some down branches from the live oak next to my house. To my amazement the car pulled into my drive way and turned the lights off. The person that got out of the car on the drivers side was about 17 years of age and he walked quickly up to my door. Just then I believe I saw the eye of the tiger and put two through the passenger side of the windshield taking care of the girlfriend and observing the fine pink mist that resulted from the shots that found their target. I then dropped down onto the front porch with a special move I call the reverse Australian drop down.
After that I don't remember much. Just the sharpened blade finding flesh. The gargled and distorted sound of a man attempting to breathe through a severed windpipe. A sound my Grandfather described to me many years ago referring to the 13 Japanese he turned into "human volcanoes". I found my blood encrusted phone in his pocket with 10 missed calls!

I then sliced the carcasses into eight equal pieces and called my buddy that works at UPS. Needless to say, a forensic investigation would involve 16 states. I then proceeded to strip naked and wear his face over mine until my wife got home from work.

Just kidding, I went to AT&T and got new service and a free phone!
