BTW, the weather today co-opererated nicely. Got some racing in. There was a long down-time due to someone losing an oil pan (or at least what I heard).
Chris having a good time is what it's all about !!! Last year we had a great time Maybe things will change

Ahhh, my buddy tried the crawfish and said it was really good......i did not know anyone there so never tried....maybe next time!
That was a huge mound of crawfish though!!
I had a really good time, weather was good on Tuesday and Friday/Sat.
Over 200 cars entered in the racing.
Turbodave did a super nice wheel stand on Friday and as you know Len got into the 6s and made several 7.1 and 7.0 passes and no broken parts.
Turbodragster also ran really good and got it in the 6s but put a hole in the cylinder head.
Was cool to meet Ken Duttweiler again, super nice guy!
Big Al was also there, first time seeing his car in person...killer looking motor!

you should have stopped by. We had a nice crowd around the table that we had never met before. That's what it was all about. Don't worry you will get your chance next year. We are going to bring three sacks (about 120 pounds) this year we only brought one.

Just got home. Noticed that the attendance seemed to pick up on Friday and Saturday. Still not what it used to be, but a fair turn out.

Had a great time around the New Orleans crowd. Plenty of laughs over there. Got to see many friends and make a few new ones.

Hope everyone made it home safe.

First impression

I just got back from bg. Being new to the TB community owning a gn for only a year and a half. I figured I would have to check this out. Me and my wife jumped in and took the 6 1/2 mile drive.

Never being that far south in my life, I couldnt belive how freindly the town of Bowling Green was.
I didn't go to the track on thurs. because of the weather so me and my wife went to Mammouth cave. This was a nice interesting side trip

Fri we went to the track bout 11.00 thinking that I would only have time to get through the swap meet and car show. The show/swap meet was a little smaller than I expected. But I got to see more TB's in one place than I would see in ten years at home.
So we went to watch the racing and I was plesantly suprised that the track wasnt quite what I was use to, being that the only track I was ever at was rt 66 over in Joliet IL.
On Sat we got up early because she wanted to go to Nashville to see The Hermitage. Once we got there she decided we had to hurry back to see more racing. I was very excitied to hear that. so we arrived back at the track the track at about noon watched the elimations till about 7
Through out the weekend while driving I heard "look at that Buick" I had a great time will be back next year for fri/sat .
Hope this helps for any new guys on the fence about going.

I have to say I'm really impressed with the new wake up "train horn" that the Motel 6 has for it's guests. What a great new service. Hope I'm lucky enough to get a reservation there next year!

A Buick guy who thinks it's funny to wake up other Buick guys whatever hour he feels is appropriate. I had some friends staying there who weren't pleased. He ever makes that noise at my motel he won't have a window left in his car.

That sounds even more mature than waking people up at a hotel!
