On my way to the track this morning I was thinking to myself; "Wonder how long it'll take for the first BG thread to pop up?" I guess this is the thread.

Well, the gas prices suck, and there's no getting around that. Still, we decided we were coming a long time ago and we stuck with it. I'm sure that did keep some away.

With that being said, I honestly think that this year is a BIG drop in attendance. Why? All the crap that has gone on with BG. No question. So please don't try to make this thread into a forum for your political views.

We're still having a fun time here in BG. Now, if the powers that be would start doing the right thing, it would once again be the premier Buick event. Instead, it's the same ol' thing and to be very honest... it's sad. A great venue and town with a poorly run event.

BTW, the weather today co-opererated nicely. Got some racing in. There was a long down-time due to someone losing an oil pan (or at least what I heard).

Today was a good day, lots of action on the track!
One car in the 6s at over 200 and another at 7.1 in the 190s.

Could you imagine if you came back from a Mustang or Camaro meet and said you saw (1) car in the 6's and (1) in the 7's?
