I'll agree. I got two of these from circle track guys, almost no noticeable core shift, 4 bolt blocks too! But my point is American cars aren't so American anymore.

Now if I can only get them to part with those ported, cast manifolds...

Didn't test drive one, but sat in it......probably the nicest interior out of any BMW's, minus the M ones.

Another craptastic option. Leave the paddle shifting to Formula One and Shifter Carts. I have never driven a tiptronic, shiftronic, unotronic, moronic or ginandtonic car where I couldn't power shift it faster than pulling up on these unsynchronized craptastic POSes. Oh yeah. If you think the clutch pedal had a funky feel on that Boxster just try to powershift it during a quick sprint with the motor on the redline. You'd swear that there was a solid rod hanging up just like an old GTO with a broken motor mount.

I wanted to get pierced. So I bought Prince Albert in a can. Looks like this is going to take some time.

Worse than Japan and Africa with the made up names. Here I made up one that combines German arrogance engineering and the peeps who buy the crap. Titstronic. Combo of Tueton,Bo0bs and electrons.

You sure Unitronic isn't the distributor made by Mallory?

I agree 100%. I have a 2000 540. Awesome car. Rediculous maintenance. Head gasket popped in mine not long after I bought it. Cost muchos denaros to fix. Muchos. I would have tried it myself, but it required a few expensive specialty tools to mark and set the timing. It's a 4 cam interference motor with a variable cam phasing system (VANOS), so it is quite difficult to remove and re-install the heads.

Anyway, back on the original 135i subject - I just raced one at the track with my 540 last Wednesday...

read below!

Took the 540 to the track tonight... - bimmerfest - BMW Forums

If you're too lazy - I'll sum it up... I ran a best of 14.3 (not bad in a 4-door sedan!), the 135 ran a 13.88, but the driver was too aggressive at the lights and was wasting time with wheel-spin. I think it could run a much better time.

I should add - these cars aren't about straight line performance, as I'm sure most are aware. Live with a Bimmer for a while - you'll "get it", trust me. If you can get past the "co$t" of it all, that is (don't blame ya if you can't...)
