Thanks for the heart attack!

Yes, very slow around here. Been reading the "Vendor" posts over yonder. Very interesting!

Teve Tumblewood is moving to the Rock Farm, so he has been busy, I guess. I am never busy.

Good. Sequels are usually pretty bad.

No one has "reposted" anything in a while either.

I suspect the board will come alive again when Firebird returns and posts his travel adventure. That ought to be interesting reading if it's in English.

Yeah, isn't it though? Sounds like all hell is breaking loose.

Gotta admit some of those guys have pretty creative excuses....

I'm one of the rare customers who never had a problem with BGC!

I never had a problem with any of the vendors, or anyone that I have ordered anything from in the parts sections. Lucky? Not really, I just won't order anything from anyone (vendor or individual) with a bad rep. That's why posts like those should be made in an open forum and not by private email. Too many excuses usually signals trouble, and I like to be warned.

Cool

No comment regarding vendors. P.C.

I am one of those that never had a problem with Kenne-Bell either.

Getting burned is never easy or fun but I tend to get over it sooner and work more OT or side jobs to make up the losses. That thread is a no win situation so I am staying over here. Youse guys are harmless.

i ordered a front fiberglass bumper from them about 5 years ago."about a month" a month passes.

"shipping in a week" a month passes...

"going out tomorrow" a month passes...

i finally get the bumper...and it's a front AND a rear bumper.i paid them for a front and got both .almost made up for the 4 month wait .

I don't remember Kenne-Bell intentionally ripping anyone off. Just that it took a week to get them on the phone and shipping was real, real, real, real slow. Then when you got that special innovated part you had to try, try, try, try, try real hard to get the the improvement they claim.

Cool

I think I've spoken to vendors a total of three times in all my years.

MaryAnne twice at M.M. and the girl at Postons once. All backorder issues. Basically forgotten ones.

If you don't know what you want ahead of time no matter what kind of shopping you do no matter where you are in for a long day...

Also I learned throughout the years that few vendors include any decent instructions with their parts. Bad copies don't count either!

HR Parts and SMC are the exception.

I got most of my parts within 2 weeks from Kenne-Bell all credit card faxed orders and usually large ones $1K-1.5K at a time.

I got charged 3 times for something I bought at Poston's once. I bounced all sorts of checks cause it was on my debit card and had to jump through hoops to get refunded once I found the error.

Watch out for that Bruce T guy at Performance Transmissions.
That guy is a real dick!!!!. He actually got me my stuff when promised and the quality parts to back it up to make the deal even sweeter! What a dick, and the nerve of that guy not giving me something to complain about.

ROFL!
