2008 Turbo Buick Calendar Announcement

Well, here we are in November again. This whole calendar thing seems to have lost some momentum over the years - I am not really sure why.

I DO know there are many of you that still enjoy them and would like one. However, time has become even less available to me as I have been travelling for work several times a month. For those of you that really still want one - here is what we are going to do this year.

One calendar - turbo buick powered vehicles only. I emailed all three buick boards - the only response I got was here, so here is where we do it. Submit as many pictures as you would like (please dont kill my email server). I am just going to choose them this year instead of setting up a vote for 20 cars. When we started this in 2001 we had like 110 entries, and I sold over 100 calendars. Over the years I have done boat calendars, chicagoland buick club calendars, the Neon SRT4, g-body.org.... The only consistent one that comes back every year is the turbo buick one. If anyone here is new and doesnt know what I am talking about - read on.

Submit a high resolution digital photo of your turbo buick powered vehicle to

calendar@toddware.com

with this information included:
name (first is OK for privacy if you want), city, state, year, make model, mod list, timeslip, kudos to wife and kids, or anything you would want printed in the calendar.

i will reply if I accept your submission, or a reason why I cant. After December 1st, i will choose 13 of the pictures to appear in the calendar. 12 month shots, and 1 cover pic. Whoever I pick for the cover gets a free calendar, as well as the webmaster for this board for letting me use his forum to do this.

If there are any companies that would like to advertise in it - all I ask is you setup/continue/extend your advertising contract with the board here, and I will include your banner ad in the calendar.

If anyone still has no idea what i am talking about - I produce an annual calendar - for $20 including shipping anywhere in the US and Canada. They are printed using a Xerox Phaser 6250DP color laser printer on 28lb superwhite paper and bound using a GBC comb. Samples (last years) can be found here:

Better then what? The past few years have been 28lb 105 brightness paper. The original calendars were plain 20lb bond.

If you are looking for cardboard type paper (which those type of calendars are printed on a 4 color press that they make plates for printing) - then sorry. I just cant pay hundreds of dollars to setup a 4 color press to sell 30 calendars.... As it is I have to drop $600 for toner - but that will then last me the rest of the year....

I just dont understand the paper thing... There is usually one person each year that asks... When its hanging on the wall, how the heck can you tell? Do you work in a wind tunnel or something?
