Question Need Gift ideas for Christmas Family Yankee Swap Gift

For those that don't know what it is, or call it by something else.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_e..._gift_exchange

I have finally convinced my family that Christmas is a sham and we shouldn't be spending hundreds of dollars on stupid **** because Walmart and Sears say we should.

So... I talked my family into doing a Gift Swap instead which I think will actually be more fun. My Sister and Mom said if we are doing a Yankee Swap then they get to make the rules. Once I saw the rules I realized why that was a bad idea....

The rules...

$50 Gift - Thats not a Min/Max, thats about what the gift should cost total.

NO Gift Cards (Mall, Gas, Starbucks, Blockbuster) (Basically my typical shopping gifts!)
NO Lottery Tickets
NO Alcohol
NO Tobacco
NO Sports Theme Stuff

Crap! That means I have to actually figure out a real gift. There are 12 of us in the swap and the gift has to be something that everyone would actually want.

Any Ideas cause I have no clue at this point and I hate endlessly walking around the Mall....

50 bucks worth of individual packs of Kool-Aid. You could probably get every flavor ever made.

What about those portable hard drives. They're like $50 for 2MB and everyone can use one

Yankee swap sucks and someone will get hosed.

My wife's family use to do that, and every year someone got hosed and just ended up giving their gift to someone else. If you've never seen The OFFICE Tv show then you must watch their episode regarding this. Your best bet is to buy something you like and trade for it.

Of course someone will get hosed! Whoever picks 2nd ;) Thats what makes it fun!

If I want something I'll go buy it, I don't need to wait until Christmas to ask for it. The point here is to quit buying useless crap for other people and for them to quit waisting there money buying me useless crap.

So to make it more fun, we are turning it into a game. I'd at least like to find something thats not stupid for $50 bucks. I'll have to keep looking around...

P.S. I Celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah. Divorced Family's Rule!

I still got the bye week and I'm the top point scorer. I win all ties. I'll probably win out.

Then again, I have just as good a chance to lose every game too. All I know my bad luck has to end sometime.
