In my opinion that event has gone down the tubes once again as it's run by the GSCA. Last year I went, myself and anyone else selling anything got hassled as there is apparently a $200 fee to sell parts of any kind now. Hey, it's their event and they can do what they want, but the event is tiny in the eyes of a $200 'vendor' fee. I got hassled so much I finally caved and put my few parts I had in the trunk. Then I got hassled again about the TurboBuicks.com sign I had on my Ez-up and was told I needed to pay $200 because 'it's a commercial sign'. I was nowhere near the 'vendor' area. I was in the pits with a 10'x10' ez-up and my GN.

Just as your typical GSCA BS goes, I walked around and asked people that were selling parts if THEY had to pay $200 and the answer was NO. It was clear I was being singled out. Bennet Jones is the one that was giving me a hard time and Richard Lassiter pretty much agreed with anything he said. These guys are all about the money and could care less about your safety, well being or the experience you have at one of these events.

I am going to pass on this years Reynolds event most likely. I'd love to go and visit with the usual friends but I can't stand the thought of lining the pockets of those that run the event.

Anyone else feeling the same way can attend a brand new BOPC event in Gainesville FL this December. I plan on attending that and will post some details when I find the dates.

Mike,
Sorry you aren't going this year. I see that they raised the price this year $200 for vendor fees is WAY TO MUCH for such a small event. I guess they are hassling you because you run a site were truth is not censored I'll check my schedule and see if I can add in the Dec 2 event. Maybe we can get Eric to go, I don't think it's too far from him.

That's what happens when you deal with a lawyer[Jones] and "school teacher"[Lassiter].

Well damn. I'd planned on going thinking it was a relaxed weekend. Anybody know if that's the case or is it going to be a drama fest?

If it's the latter I might as well stay home and work on my Nasty 4.1 block.

Hey b*tch, you better be there. I wonder if I duct tape Donna and drag her over if she would have me locked up. Once I get her there she is your problem!!!

Sounds like a plan. You duct tape her up and I'll cut her loose . (I'd be monday before she could lock you up anyway )

I need some more crazy in my diet pretty badly.

I will be there with my GS again, and look forward to seeing the turbo cars ripping it up. I hope the track is better this year, because it sucked last year, like bad.

I especially liked watching Hartline back bumper it for 400 feet a few years ago. I think I have that on tape some place.
