JCC Security prevents theft at Blockbuster

As a result of Salem we at the JCC feel the world is a lot safer place due to the many many members both here and abroad who have enlisted in the JCC Security force. Otherwise known as Task Force JCC.

The attached pic is another fine example, this JCC security member with his back to the camera for reason of anonymity and for his own personal security for future missions foiled a robbery at a local Blockbuster.



It seems that a perp walked into the Blockbuster with thoughts a "Free" rentals for life courtesy of us hard working, full paying, non late fee folks who dutifully return our rentals.

The story as it unfold as it was told to me went like this:

It seems this perp pictured below:



Walks into the local Blockbuster and starts casually walking up and down the aisles and on the surface "appears" to be just another customer. He starts with the new releases, then over to the adventure section viewing the Big Stuff, I mean the Right Stuff astronaut movie. He then makes his way over to the comedy section, then stares long and hard at the back DVD cover of The Best of Don Knotts.

Right then our own JCC security member knew something wasn't right, he just didn't like the look or attitude of the perp. He just got the sense this perp was a busy body, looking to cause trouble or maybe just looking for some publicity good or bad by getting his name in the local crime section of the paper.

Our JCC security team member notices the perp slipping the said "Best of Don Knotts" DVD down his pants, which those two put together should have this guy in prison for life. Anyway........the JCC operative lets the perp have some more free will in the store seeing what else this perp may try to glome. Sure enough his instincts are correct and he notices the perp stuffing boxes of Jujyfruits, Goobers and Gummy worms also down his pants.

That's when our JCC agent for justice decided he had seen enough, our guy leaps across the candy and popcorn shelf and clothelines this perp, knocking him cold to the ground. As he lay there knocked out the boxes of Jujyfruits and Don Knotts DVD fell out of his pants to the thunderous applause of the other Blockbuster customers in the store.




The JCC security member was then offered free lifetime rentals from Blockbuster of which he declined stating "I didn't do this selfless act for free rentals, I did this for what is right and just and fair". "That is how we in the JCC live our lives and carry ourselves, we don't want anything for free, we are only here to help our fellow racer and DVD renter, we believe in fair play and what is right.........and good........about America"

The JCC security member then grabbed his two little kids with their Milo and Otis DVD in tow and walked out the door to spend the rest of the day with his kids, kinda the way it outta be.

This is just one of the many stories you will hear of what we in the JCC do to serve and protect not only the Buick community but also the community at large.

We salute you Mr. JCC Security Hero who ever you are
