Ted A. vs BillIE A Golf Cart Race Pics

Well after much jawing at each other about who's golf cart is quicker, Ted A and his rental or BillIE's Anderson Performance winged golf cart.

These two decided to get it on at Salem, it was a good race with Ted A eeking out a victory but not by much (video to follow shortly).

In the meantime here are some still shots, as you can see Artie Putz and I had a hard time directing both drivers back into the groove after their burnouts.

As Artie and I were backing them up both our sneakers got TORN off our feet due to the track having so much VHT on it, we both got scard for a bit but we managed to keep our balance and not fall on the track.

Then just prior to the race itself a streaker appeared and flashed the crowd, he was hustled off by JCC Security.

The race came off and then Ted and Bill did a nice post race interview for JCC Today and Ted took the bragging rights for this year back to Michigan.

After the race both parties

It was a great race. Not wanting to make excuses but being Billy's golf cart crew chief I think we could have taken Ted in a rematch. Like me in first round TSO, Billy had some problem with the shifter while staging. You'll see it in the video but I was almost killed. Even with the mistake Ted only beat Billy by half a cart. The first 60 feet was really sticky but both carts got loose at about 100 feet and started retelling the big old Goodyear’s. Both got loose and were all over the track, the video will show it all, you decide!

I almost had to disqualify Ted due to not making it to the line in time. His emerg brake was stuck and I had to start the 30 sec rule countdown. But Ted being a pro figured out when you step on the gas the brake releases. It was a close call.

Yes, Art you are right. The traction was horrible out there. Both carts lost traction and crossed into each others lane. Lucky for both of us, especially Billy, his cart was not damaged by a collision. I could care less, mine was a rental and I had full insurance on it.

I was a little upset at the fact Billy showed up with a wing on his cart. It was not agreed on in the pre-race. Just a example of how much Billy can't help himself when it comes to cheating.

Jimmy Rome, I suggest you start working on your cheating skills, you will need them when you race Bill.

They are in the hands of the JCC media coordinator and are in the process of being compiled. We had at least a dozen video camera's rolling to ensure we covered the event adequately. There are literally miles of videotape and gigabytes of data to go through. It takes time to compile and ensure the correct angle for each shot is used. When you have so much data at your disposal it takes time to go though it all, please be patient.

You know the old racers adage Ted, if you can't beat them, cheat!
