Who here supported an "illegal-less" McDonald's today??

Of course this 'protest' is going on today. Several of my students are out of school for the 'protest'. The most interesting thing happened when I went to lunch.

I don't go to McDs every day.. but on occasion, if I'm in a hurry, I zip up the street. Today, I wasn't in a big hurry, but I did realize that McDs would have 'less' staff. So out of curiosity, I went up there for lunch. Strange things...

I pull up to the drive-thru. There's a manager standing outside near the speaker. I thought that was strange. There's a car in front of me waiting to give their order. The manager walked inside for a second and came back out and the person in front of me gave their order. Then I pull up. The manager apologized for the delay. That's unusual. I was only waiting about 45 seconds. I give my order. The person was loud, clear and actually over-polite. Another strange thing. I pull up, give my money... polite again. Pull up to the next window. Get my food. The person was polite, friendly and even got my order right! :O

Now.. nothing against hispanics, but normally there are several, if not all hispanics working at this McDs. Some of them are actually friendly and nice also. But NONE of the people working there today were hispanic. I have no clue if the workers at this McDs are illegal, but I'll find it very interesting if McDs is 'hiring' a whole new staff.


Anyways... did you support an "illegal-less" McDonald's???

Send em all back to where they are from if they are Illegal.

There are so many waiting to come Legally, they go through all the proper channels to do it correctly, why should someone that does it the wrong way be given any privileges?

I am tired of all this stuff that Illegal have more rights than people that where born in their own country.

Go to one of their respective countries and try and see what would happen if you are there Illegally.

Also try and tell the government of the day; Hey I want everything in English so that I can read it, I can not read " what ever language it is" so you need to print it in my language.

Further some say that they do the jobs others will not do. Lets see if the Illegal were no longer Illegal do you think they would work for the wage they are working for? No way they would demand the same as anyone else that is Legal and if they did not get it then they would be screaming to Employment standards.

I have an Idea get the INS people to these rallies they could be making major overtime and have a good time doing what they are there for.

NOW why would a representative of the GOVERNMENT support something that is Illegal?

Any excuse to get out school.... I would have done the same thing, although I'd be home sleeping not "protesting".

What a perfect way for immigration to gather people by the hundreds and dump them back over the border.

That about sums it up for most of these people. I for one will never go to an establishment that is closed today for the reason of this protest. I still won't go to Best Buy and it's been years since they wouldn't take some speaker wire back on a return from me.

I own a catering company which is part of the food service industry. As a whole the food service industry hires illegal and non-documented workers as a common practice. Any way to save a dollar and avoid paying taxes. At a place of previous employment I was instructed to tell the mexican workers that showed up with a SS# that started with a specific string of numbers to go back to the flea market and buy a different SS card.

I have been sued at my current business for "discrimination" because I refuse to hire anyone that can not read/write/ and speak perfect English. Each time I have been to court the rule in my favor. If I can't communicate with the employee then they can't work for me.

When I worked in France I learned enough French to get by, but I never expected them to speak English to me because I am an American. Same thing goes for the other countries where I worked. I speak enough Spanish that I can communicate but I refuse to speak a foreign language in my home country.

It was 1 thing when they started giving the naturalizations tests in dif languages, but now they have made a spanish version of the national anthem. What the fvck is that. You don't hear the Mexican national anthem in English. Granted the United States is a melting pot. At some point We, the United States Citizens, will have accomodated so many foreign ideals, etc etc, that the United States will lose its own identity.

One of my competitors called me today to ask if I could spare some help since 70% of his staff was off. My comment was " you must be fvcking kidding right"? I told him that if my staff hadn't shown up they would be looking for a new job. He said he was scared to fire them out of fear of retribution. Texas is a "right to work" state which means I have the right to fire your ass for not showing up.

I'm tired of hearing that " the immigrants fill jobs that Americans citizens don't want. The fact of the matter is that even the dumbest/poorest American citizen isn't stupid enough to take a job for below Federal Minimum Wage.

In TX, being a white male now makies me a minority. Does that mean I am eligible for minority benefits? FVCK NO.

One final note. If the INS and the individual state governments were serious about deportation/rounding up illegals all they would have to do is drive down to the protest and start rounding them up. Seems pretty simple to me.

Any mispelled words or poor syntax is to do the fact that I'm a bit angry

I just caught a glimpse on the news of the "protestors" with an American flag. What pisses me off the most is that if the really understood America then they would understand... "YOU NEVER LET THE FLAG TOUCH THE GROUND...MUCH LESS DRAG IT ALONG WITH YOU!!!

I'm about to plan a little trip with my family and extended family,

and I would like to ask you to assist me. I'm going to walk across

the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and I need to make a few

arrangements. I know you can help with this.



I plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports,

immigration quotas and laws. I'm sure they handle those things the

same way you do here.



So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Vicente Fox, that

I'm on my way over? Please let him know that I will be expecting

the following:



1. Free medical care for my entire family.



2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might

need, whether I use them or not.



3. All government forms need to be printed in English.



4. I want my kids to be taught by English-speaking teachers.



5. Schools need to include classes on American culture and history.



6. I want my kids to see the American flag flying on the top of the

flag pole at their school with the Mexican flag flying lower down.



7. Please plan to feed my kids at school for both breakfast and

lunch.



8. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy

access to government services.



9. I do not plan to have any car insurance, and I won't make any

effort to learn local traffic laws.



10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the

memo from Pres. Fox to leave me alone, please be sure that all

police officers speak English.



11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my house top, put flag decals

on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not

want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.



12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes,

and don't enforce any labor laws or tax laws.



13. Please tell all the people in the country to be extremely nice

and never say a critical word about me, or about the strain I might

place on the economy.



I know this is an easy request because you already do all these

things for all the people who come to the U.S. from Mexico. I am

sure that Pres. Fox won't mind returning the favor if you ask him

nicely.



However, if he gives you any trouble, just invite him to go quail

hunting with your V.P.
