Just moved to kansas... farg'n 91 octane!

Just went to go fill the Skyhawk T-type with some 93 octane. I think I sharted when I realized this was one of those crappy citys I was always reading about with only 91 octane fuel!

This just won't do. I learned about one gas station on the far end of town claiming 93 octane at the pump. Seems strange they would be the only one? Anyone know of a way to test fuel octane? I doubt theres an easy way but I don't want to drive all the way across town and pay more money for 93 octane if it isn't in fact 93.

Dang po-dunk towns!

hey gary have you ever seen one of the state mobile inspection units? they dont mess around with cheating people on gas atleast how they do it in NJ- they just randomly stop and inspect pumps and gas- if it wasnt controlled- what would stop a station from selling 87 as 94?

I'm screwed anyhow, I was looking at an old post. Wichita stopped selling 93 completly 4 months ago. Urks me that the 91 is the same price as the 93 back in FLA. Not even sure if mixing home brew is cheaper than a 55 gal drum of 104... Either way, I'm screwed....
