I read that this morning. Not sure what to think of it. Maybe they should stick to Radio and let Direct TV/Dish Network control the video.

Hopefully they don't get pulled into too many directions at once.

P.S. **** now I gotta upgrade my radio for video..

I think it is a logical extension for them....I don't anything about the technology, but, Detroit wants it...someone might as well give it to them. Microsoft would appear to meet the criteria for a solid partner...one that might eat you, but solid!

If Microsoft gets involved we will be turning the radio on and off several times a day to recover from the blue screen failures..

I have not had a blue screen failure since 98SE...I did not go ME, and have only used xp pro/and 2000 .

As many things as we do to the machines these days, I doubt any system is truly bullet proof in an uncontrolled environment.

Perhaps. But if you have ever used Apple computers (in the home) you would begin to wonder how such a POS (MS) could have made it's way into so many homes..Better marketing I suppose.

Also - I get the added benefit of running the computer center for a 1+ billion dollar company. I get to see the company (MS) from a whole different view when you are trying to run production for a company on their stuff, Not fun....

I am not a fan.. Can you tell ??

Not to thread hack, but aren't Linux systems supposed to be the most stable and reliable?

Apple missed the boat long ago...too late, no matter how good they might be.

As always the computer is only as reliable as the builder/operator.

I don't care what OS you use - if you have crap hardware, the software will run like crap.

Linux - is great for people that like to tinker. That being said - I like I alot, but it is along way away from replacing my Micro$oft box.

Well....

I think I saw it on Fox this morning or last night the news that you presented. It also showed how many members each company had and who was on-board. XM has GM and Honda. Sirius had two also but I can't remember who ;) They talked about how Sirius signed Howard and their membership went up like 500,000 but..... they also said that if it didn't grow much more then they could end up bankrupt due to the incredible outlay they had to give Stern. I will stick with O and A!

Audi, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, Jeep, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Infiniti, BMW, Mini Cooper and Porsche.

Ford said they will add 1 Million to Sirius by 2007 alone.

Cool XM > Sirius

XM > Sirius

That dog doesn't make me "want to get serious", plus, I'd rather watch NFL.

XM better stop wasting time bad mouthing Sirius and wake up...the train is coming and they are napping on the tracks...Sirius is the Dog Star, tho' I am sure you knew that.

Costs a lot of money to get the NFL package on tv....Now, I can listen and look, plus nba games that are blacked out...I don't care about Howard, I just like the programming on Sirius better.

Now, I wish they would pick up Walton and Johnson!~

Not sure why everyone seems to think there will only be one service. We have multiple tv satelite companies, tv networks, etc. Satelite radio is just taking off. The Market cap of Sirius shows what investors think.

GM and Honda are serious investors in XM.

None of the ones TTA89 listed are investors in Sirius.

Sirius gives you 40 days of NFL football.

XM gives you almost 240 days of MLB plus spring training.
