Exclamation New job?!?! I need your opinions

Ok say that you have a decent job being a paint equipment service tech, This job has only health benifits. And along comes another job that is a paint tech at an avaition center. This job has vision, dental, health, paid atleast $2 more an hour, and has $401K. What would you do? Stay at your present job of 1&1/2 years or go to the other job. Keep these in mind also:

1. The President and vice president of the company you work for now were just fired.

2. The new CEO said that if the Pres and VP werent fired, that there would be no jobs at your current company in january.

3. The current company you work for is not doing any better (business and cashflow wise).

i am in a REAL jam here. I dont know what to do. I want to stay but there is the fear of not having a job in 2-3 months. And i also want to go to the new job because of supporting my family better.

Having been laid off due to weak sales I say take the new job. Family always has to be first priority.

my vote goes to the other job, assuming that you will have your foot in the other door.

Having recently gone thru making that same decision after being at a job 14 years, I know what you are going thru. Sounds like you have an easier decision to make than I did though. Better pay, better benefits, I say go for it.

My potential new job, everything was just a little less in all categories but when you added everything up it was a sizeable chunk less than what I have now.

I am sure you will be losing a lot of time off though being the new guy on the block but it doesn't sound like your present company is doing too great and you might end up with a LOT of time off if you stay. (only you won't be getting paid for it!)

Good luck with your decision.

Wheewww, boy this is a hard one.

Ahh haaa.
You could stay at your current job and draw unemployment from all the Dumass people in this country that have a job when your current employers go under. You could parade around that OTHER place that offered you a job and make fun of all the idiots that are actually working for thier money.
