anyone familar with a mitsubishi3000vr4 twin turbos: i just had to buy it

I'm still keeping my 87 t-type but, this 92 vr4 has factory twin turbos and all wheel drive it puts out a factory rated 300hp.I bought this car from a christian couple that just are moving in a different direction.Anyways this car is beautiful fire engine RED with all black leather interior and bose sterio that is factory. The car even has a 5,000 dollar set of polished wheels.I just can't believe that i got this car for 9,000dollars and it has only 71,000 babied miles and has always been garaged.
Now i know it's not a buick but,i thought someone could tell me how fast i can get this car to run in the 1/4mile with MODS .I read that i can do minor mods and that will get me a total of 500 to 630horse power.Does anyone want to help me learn something about my new road car please feel free to help me learn.
THANKS

do yourself a favor and sell it actually go and try to change the plugs then you won't regret selling it. They do handle nice though, and are fun when they actually work

anyway,
check out www.3si.org
I would get all the service records and info you can get about it. Especially see if the 60k service was done, if not get it done!

The most important thing with these cars is prevenative maintance.

how fast you lookin to go with it?
with just bolt ons and little more boost deep in the 13's is no prob. the big thing is how you want to launch it with the awd you can rev it to the moon and dump the clutch but then of course comes the whole broken parts thing

Yep. Take a TR into the mid 11s and you may regret it someday. Take a VR4 beyond mid 13s and you will regret it.

mitsubishi

That car is sold here in Canada as the Dodge Stealth. MAJOR tranny problems and VERY expensive to repair. Get it checked Pronto.

dodge/mitsubishi

Yes, as far as I know it is a 100% Mitsubishi built drivetrain. The Mitsubishi Eclipse was also sold here as an Eagle Talon, Plymouth Laser.

Re: dodge/mitsubishi

actually the DSM(Eclipse, talon, laser) have NOTHING to do with a 3000/stealth. No like parts at all.
The DSM's were built in Normal Ill and the 3000/stealth's were built in Japan.
DSM designed here too .. The other was not
