| anyone using the caspers vss and convertor I've been driving without a vss and I'm afraid its gonna break something due to improper tuning with no vss signal to the ecm instructions for mounting the vss and converter suck ass so if you have the caspers stuff in your car--tell me how you installed it all thanks

| Wow you still dont have a VSS for that trans! Well the only thing it will affect is the lock up converter or rather you will never go into lock up. Usually when the code sets the car runs on a pre programmed paramenter to substitute for the VSS. Anyway I have Caspers stuff you mentioned but it is connected to all VDO guages so I wont be much help. I do know that John Spina at Caspers is usually more than happy to help if you are having difficulty and he is also very familiar with these cars. I would give him a call.

| I just plan on using a VDO speedo also so not having a vss signal won't hurt anything while beating on it ? I thought the vss signal played a part in fuel trims and timing haven't been driving the car much at all anyway due to not having an exhaust on it--just put the catback exhaust on yesterday to do list install scanmaster, intercooler scoop, ported doghouse with power plate and 70mm TB and then maybe I'll worry about the VSS

| Oh Ok if your going to use a VDO electronic programable speedo you can just get the VSS converter that takes the signal from the speedo and splice it into the VSS feed wire to ECM behind the dash. On the instructions though it refers to the feed as TACH but you can still use it.That Caspers converter is mainly used for transplants, because on some hybird cars they needed to use the pulse from the tach because when using an engine and harness from the GNs they have a VSS behind the dash; it isnt a VSS setup like the TTA in the trans. So on the instructions just substitute tach for speedo and it will work. Mine works fine and is pretty accurate.
