Shifter

Ok guys, im not in a turbo buick but i do have the same transmission. I am having Mike Kurtz at century transmission build me a 2004r with a transbrake. He has done all the upgrades to it. The converter will be an Art Carr. This will be bolting up to a LSx 402 ci motor on a 200 shot out of the hole. I have never used a transbrake, so im looking for ideas of how to set it up. I would like to install a shifter that can be airshifted, but i dont see alot of shifters available. What are you guys running?

I have the quicksilver ratchet in there now, but it has no provisions for a transbrake button.

Thanks guys

Did you ask Mike?

Long ago, there was a guy named Jim Cuba in Houston that set up his own air shifter on his Buick.

He recommended the quicksilver, which is what i have in the car now, but it doesnt support the air shift. I think i can get a button for the brake on the shifter..... but i would really would like a better shifter.

Cool thanks I guess i probably have about 5k in it. I bought it used for 3 half built. Then when it was time to freshen it I asked Mike to install every known upgrade. I am hoping for mid to low 9s out of it.

Have you guys had good luck with Art Carr converters? I bought one of his 9inch non-lockups.

If your goal is low 9's I would look for a ATI or Neal Chance converter.

Neal Chance wont make a converter for a 200. I checked I havent looked into ATI though. Ive used Yank for a 4l60e and my last 200. I had good luck with them.
