What Floor Jack

In search of a new floor jack. My trusty 20+ year old Astro-Pnuematic jack leaks like a sive and they aren't very helpful. Bought a 4 ton Sears and tried lifting the rear pig with it. Then tried purging air and tried it again. Was unhappy with it and took it back.

What's a good brand that will last another 20 years please? Who has a low profile, high lift, long reach, minimum pumps as well?

AFF

I bought this one earlier this year-no problems and the low profile makes it a lot easier getting under some of the cars- AFF Model 200T - 2 Ton Speed Jack "Low Rider" Low Profile Floor Jack

Automotive service jacks, hydraulic jacks, floor jacks from ASE

When my Chinese floor jack started leaking I went to Auto Zone and matched up some green Mopar air conditioner o-rings for it and it's been working great for 5 or 6 years now. Only took an hour to fix it.

Thanks 87gnjoe. Was wondering if I'd get any replies. I'll review the other jacks on the link as well, and your jack specs and price looks good right now.

Stevmon - Got your point. I usually would choose to rebuild myself, but with no success finding the correct "cup" shaped 0-rings and flat-round ram gasket, and seeing the score marks on the brass bushings, along with no supplier support to e-mails w/pics, it's time to bury the 20+ year old jack.

Don't let the price fool you. This thing is a monster. Most other places have it for sale anywhere from $50-$100 more. Lots of folks get caught up on the tonage a jack can lift. I replaced a 2 1/2 ton jack with this one and if numbers where what determined a good jack I would swear this was a 5 ton jack. I lift the GN, a minivan and a full size ext cab pickup without issue. You are never lifting the entire vehicle at once off of the ground with a floor jack. I was going to buy an aluminum floor jack but I when I saw this it has the width and stability that I don't think I would get from an aluminum one. One downside is it is solid and a 100lbs is no picnic to lift, but it rolls smooth as can be. Joe

Good luck with it. It arrived very quickly. I wanted a low profile jack and was pleasantly suprised by the quality. Let me know how you like it when you get chance to use it.

Joe! It came yesterday. The box was pretty beat up, but no damage and works GREAT (even in this cold weather). I actually took pictures of the box in case it got damaged before opening it. Yes, top quality with the dual action cam rollers/plungers. Time will tell if it leaks, but very happy with it and the low profile.

I used it to got raise all four corners on my GN and lower the tranny out today.

Bring it over and help me swap a torque converter

Looks like a nice jack...the low profile should really help

Yeah if I recall the box was pretty beat up here as well. Guess the UPS guys don't like carrying around 100 packages Can't say I blame them.
I used it a couple dozen times with no problem so far. As you said, time will tell. Glad you liked it. Mine is a vast improvement over my old one

ps Michigan to Texas in 4 hours should be no problem, right
