Question PTS vs Extreme Automatics

This is going to get Hot n Spicy. Just a reminder before I get started.
In 2004 I contacted PTS for a Trans Brake. Sent Bruce a VB. I get it back ready to install $685 later. Car runs for 10 minutes, the Clutches are fried.
Contact the Thief and tells me that it's the Transmission the problem... Remove the transmission to have the clutches replaced. Fry the Clutches again. This time I get it repaired the second time, install another VB and the transmission works perfect. Contact the Thief and he tells me that he will charge me another $160 to do another VB....
You got to be $hitting me...So I told him to go screw himself and live with the loss...I get in touch with Lonnie @ Extreme. He says to send the Vb to him so he can check things out. He kept it for a while until he figured out that THE VB WAS THE PROBLEM......HELLO THIEF...........Make things short. The Transmission with the New Brake works great. The Best part. Lonnie charged me a hell of alot less than You Know Who....

Long Live Hi Performance and the Ones who lose out at the end....

I'd rather drive a Chrysler Sebring with a rainbow sticker on the bumper than do business with PTS. Stay away from that whack job.

I will be available. I am just cutting back on the amount of work I take in so I can deliver in a reasonable amount of time. One man show here in cincy.

Another Thumbs up for Lonnie's trans!

It will eventually go back to him to add more hard parts and a trans brake.

Who's parts

Do all of these builder's use the same make of hard parts for the 200r4? I was led to believe that PTS makes most of the hard parts out there. If I am wrong please correct me. Let me know who makes the best parts out there. Thanks for all of your info guy's. I really like this site.I don't own a regal, but me and my father are looking at a super clean 87 GN. Keep the good info coming. Thanks Prostreet-TA

PTS makes a lot of claims, but, many are not true.

I personally use all of the above CK, PTS, McClay. I do have some parts made for me that are not for sale. No need to reinvent the wheel. These vendors have done a great job and the price is fair. I dont believe that I could improve the current parts so there is no need to make them.

The nice thing about dealing with Lonnie is you actually get the billet or specialty parts you were promised installed in your transmission.

I was very shocked when a trans. (TH400) stage III turned out to be a stock rebuild. The vendor, from the NY area, said that thats all that was needed for a v6. Once confronted this vendor admitted that I was sold a stock rebuild at full race prep prices. Keep in mind that this vendor knew this trans. was going behind a full race stage II engine.

Lonnie will get it right or make it right every time

Lonnie
I didn`t forget what I said that I was going to do.
The Transmission seems to holding very well. Too bad the season ended so soon.

Better things for next year....

Hey Lonnie I hope you're still interested in doing a trans for me.
It's been a long time saving and I'll eventually get there. Definately looking forward to getting this car back on the road and track with a tough transmission.
I'm shooting for Feburary so let's cross our fingers.

Thanks,
Jason
