Earl, what would a person pick-up in volume and or pressure over another good stock one, cause that is alot of dinero, so I guess what I'm asking is for me to be convinced by you to spend that kind of in my case hard earned money, thanks for your input Earl. Ron

Just a Six, that's a pretty general assumption. Everybody that I've modified a cover reports close to the same thing. If you have a VERY worn out engine I can't say how fast the pressure will come up. That's the key and the max PSI is controlled by the relief spring (and where you gauge is tapped). I've done quite a few of these over the years and everybody that I've heard back from has reported results better than they expected. I actually do about 3 times the work to my covers than I listed in my article. The main thing I concentrate on isn't stupid high PSI numbers or anything that would win a bench race. What I work on is making sure that everything is the way it should be. Then make it easier to do it's job. Freeing up HP, taking the load off the timing set and unloading the front cam bearing is my main objective. It also helps against excessively beating up the oil and shearing it. I'm probably going to stop selling these covers and just packrat my inventory soon. I've been considering contacting some vendors and seeing if they want to buy me out. For some reason when any other part gets discontinued they price increases a million percent (take hood pads and headlight bezels, and the pull strap covers for instance). When these covers were available the discount stores sold them for $279 plus tax. The filter adapter is around $70 and I'm not sure what the GM oil pump, pump gasket, bolts, and the timing gasket set cost. Granted you can get a bare aftermarket cover for around $120 I believe. I can't compete with that. TA performance sells some sort of modified aftermarket unit for $450 and I think SE turbo sells a unit for $500. (TA probably charged $80 for shipping too) On the other hand I know for a fact that my cover aren't full of trash, flashing, the cam sensor will fit, the crank sensor will be spaced right, no allen screw will fall onto the timing set, and porosity won't hemorrhage oil from the high pressure side.

given that one gets a blueprinted cover/pump that is done by someone that actually understands what he is doing instead of a bs big gear pump that puts unneeded wear and tear on the front of the engine, this is a very competitive price when compared to what is available out there. Takes a lot of hours of work to to offer a product made like this.

It turns out I think I'd like to eat next week so I need to move some aluminum. The first person that wants to get one of my oil systems will get a FREE, that's right FREE, adjustable oil pressure regulator upgrade and a copy of "Camp Cuddly Pines Powertool Massacre" staring future senator Stormy Daniels (and my girl Keri Sable )!It'll get ALL the fluids flowing and you'll be saying "ShamWOW" everytime!

| Iheartporn | It's tested and working! and on the way to you... I also threw a timing cover assembly in the box since I was heading to he post office anyway. It got shipped out Priority so I'm guessing you'll see it Monday or Tuesday. If you need any help with the adjustable pressure regulator. Right now it's set at "stock" spring pressure. Running it in with raise pressure and adding the extra gasket will lower it below the stock setting if you want to.
