Post Forged 3.625 crank and Carrillo rods FS

I have a forged wide journal 3.625 crank for sale. The rod journals have been turned for SBC rods. It's fresh from Crankshaft Specialists in Memphis, TN, who did the work. The crank was checked and magged, the rods journals ground, straightened, shotpeened, and polished.

I have a set of 8 Carrillo SBC rods that will go along with the crank. They are 6.2" long and have the upgraded SPS Carr bolts. They will need to be narrowed approximately .050" for the crank.

$1700 for the crank and 8 rods; I'll have pictures up tonight.

I can narrow the rods to match if needed. For all of you guys trying to make 1500 HP with the stock block, here you go; the Chevy size rods will make it easier to fit. <---I am joking here, at least about the 1500 HP..I'll throw in a bag of kitty litter if you want to try, though. crazy wink

Do the rods have any off set to them or are they dead on centers? seems to me the 4.3- V6 had some offset on the rods but no quite as much as the buicks.

thanks.

Looks like the crank and rods are sold. As far as the offset, the Chevy rods are symmetrical (on-center), but lack a chamfer on the one side of the rod, so they won't bleed off oil pressure between the shared faces of the two rods on one journal. I'm going to narrow these for an off-center motor by narrowing them approx. 050" on that side and cutting a chamfer there.

Hey Kendall, I notice you got an INDY front cover sitting there in the background.
See, I told you that you need one of my Indy blocks. It would bolt right up to the back of that cover.
wink wink
