looking for local support

Hello everyone,
Have owned my 87 Gn only for a couple of years now and driven strictly during summer months. I havent done much investigating into the mods, if any on the car, other than putting in a 160 stat. Car looks pretty much stock otherwise. Have lurked around the gnttype site for a while and got steered over this way lately.
I have decided that this winter, i am going to roll up my sleeves and dig into her a little and am looking for some other local people that may be able to provide some local support.
Thanks for the opportunity to post and looking forward to hear back from anyone.
Jim

Best thing to do is send an email to Shaun gnra@telus.net and find out when the next GNRA (Grand National Racing Association) meeting is. That's probably the best place to get some help.

Another (as of yesterday afternoon) new GN owner here. I'd also like to find some local support, and sent a message to the same club. Maybe we will run into each other this spring or summer.

There's usually quite a few get togethers in the spring and summer here in western WA, and Turbo Thunder is a major event that goes on in July.

See ya then, and welcome to the darkside!

Sounds good. What are the club(s) in Washington? Maybe you could let me know their website(s).

"Turbo Thunder" sounds interesting. When and where is that scheduled? If I know far enough in advance, I'll be able to take the day off, and attend.

Are there any local (B.C. or Washington) sources for parts for these cars?

Thanks.

John's Performance in Marysville, WA is a good source; most others are around the country. Since you're in BC, you might think about getting parts shipped to this side of the border, and driving down to pick them up....

I don't believe the dates for TT have been finalized as of yet. Check the Bremerton Raceway website for more details.

As far as club gatherings, it's more watching the boards to find out when the guys decide to get together- usually there's about a week or so notice.

I'm in the Everett area. Welcome guys. There aren't any Washington clubs. We just hang out at Pacific Raceways and Bremerton Raceway, and even venture up to Mission. I am up in Vancouver few times a year, visiting other Buick friends. Watch this and the "other" board for get togethers if you want to meet up down here.

Turbo Thunder is set for July 14, and BOP (Buick/Olds/Pontiac) is in September- both at Bremerton.
