1987 grand national

Hi, I am new here and am curious as to how much an 87 with 36k original miles would go for? I have not seen it yet, but I will be looking at it tonight. It has been garaged its whole life and supposely is in awesome condition. All stock.

From what I can see all over the internet it should be worth like 18K right?

thanks

$18,000 sounds like a typical asking price for a car with that kind of miles on it. The next thing that you have to ask though, are those the only miles on it, has the odometer rolled over once or twice? I have looked at cars that were supposedly low kms (I am in Canada) and I explicitly asked the seller on the phone if the car he was selling had 60,000 kms (~40,000 miles) or if it was 160,000 kms but when I went to see the car I quickly realized it had 260,000 kms (160,000 miles) on it!!! Needless to say I was pissed and didn't buy that car.

The only thing I can tell you is do NOT buy a car with any rust, because there will be a LOT more hiding where you can't find it and buy with your head not your heart!!

Good luck,

What Paul said and if it turns out to be an 86 instead of an 87 knock 10k off the price and start negotiating down from there.
