| Member | I was going to do a adj wastgate but I am unsure about it. Is the rod supposed to be tight. I cannot move the rod except to spin it. Is this normal? Or should the rod be able to be pushed in by hand? Any comments for this novice Bucik owner? Thanks in advance SAR |

| The '84/'85 wastegate rods are not adjustable. They have to be converted or replaced with an adjustable unit. The procedures for converting are found at www.gnttype.org Yes, they are tight, yes it can be twisted but don't as you may ruin the diaphram inside the vacuum portion of the wastegate assembly. Hope this helps! ------------------ "Zoom Zoom" Louie A car can be an obsession but it is legal and keeps me in the garage

| Member | So I won't be wasting my time to make it an adjustable unit they can be modified. I was not sure if you could do this to a hot air set up or not. I figured i would ask before I did this. I didnt want to find out later that I was wasting my time and having to pay for another unit. Thanks for the help SAR |
