i love to say it, but...

i smoked an 07 gt 500 last night. pulled on him on the highway too. i know the 010s make about 40 more horse but the car i raced had a few things done to it which probably made it as fast as and 010 if not faster. my car felt kind of scary over 115 on turns and where there was bad light so i had to get out of it where he naturally kept on it. nice car over all and the guy was a really cool guy. and an 010 gt500 pulled up next to me too but his passenger said he just got it so he couldn't race. but he tried to get me to race his buddy in another poopstang saying that guy wants to race you, even though he was lying and just trying to see some racing.

awesome night over all. i raced a 68 camaro, newer gto, brand new camaro, 90s camaro, some jap turds, and a new gtp. beat them all. and my trans was acting up of course. had to let off to let it shift to 2nd. otherwise it would over rev.

2 of the races were 3 cars across. absolutely awesome racing.

i saw a gn drive by quickly in the other direction, but couldn't find him after i turned around.

most racing was on the boulevard and then the highway stuff was on a highway i didn't catch which one.

why not get on a long stretch of straight road where you dont have to get out of it..And see how you really stand against that car up above 125mph.

They are limited to 155mph from the factory...But with a tune and losing the limiter, they are capable of upward of 187mph or so.

I wonder how many 100's of car lengths that equals...

Im almost tempted to pick up a cobra myself,Eyeballing a nice 03 with a whipple.makes just a lil bit more power than those stock 500's If I grab it,I will pay you a visit on your favorite long stretch of straight road.

Glad everyone made it home safe...Sounds like it was a good time.

I know you are anti ford Rog...But name me a buick of any era that could roll off the showroom floor,Run low 12's on street tires and trap 116-117mph Without as much as lifting the hood. And actually be able to make turns without feeling like its about to roll over.

Oh yeah...how many times did your boost gauge spin past 0 on the runs...lol Gonna be a new boost setting...."Rog boost"Thats2 steps above hoober boost and 1 jump above don boost...lol

Going to bed..You know Im just bustin ya Roger...But I am looking at a Whipple cobra...lol extremely fast street car.

actually i'm a gm man.

if i gave two craps about high speed racing i'd prolly buy a vette or a porsche.

i care about light to light racing. and our cars come out of the hole well, muuuch better than poopstangs.

hey, i grew up with an 81 fairmont futura and an 87 crown vic. so i like fords. but i believe gm overall, has cooler cars. that's my opinion.

how many famous songs can you think that mention chevies and caddys? there are alot.

i can think of 1 song with a ford in it, maybe two. one is vanilla ice 'rolling in my 5.0)

how how many fords are out there with chevy 350s in them. ALOT. yet no chevies with ford motors, NONE. there are a few bustangs as well.

almost forgot, my boost was set to 19 psi. my qboost thingy is broken. i wanted a safe tune anyway so i don't blow up my car

i got the boost creep issue taken care of i think. the puck was getting hung up. jim dunn took care of it for me.

you're so d*mn lucky you had pauli in your car that night. you had eyes to look out for cops. i should have raced you for real and blew your doors off

so if you don't want to look like vanilla ice, i recommend you pick up a man's car. and if you go with a vette again, please don't buy another automatic 'cause that's a turd too just like all the fords

Has someone actually demonstrated this?

I love these cars, but even with big hp I'd be surprised to see that mph on a street car given their aerodynamic properties. I'd expect that it would be very difficult to overcome drag at that mph, but I've been surprised by our GN's performance capabilities in the past...

Even with the boost creep issues you were having with your boost in the stratosphere...The vette still walked you easily. And that was with Paul in the car also. And also just a slow Automatic...And it was actually stable doing it...Not like that sponge of a buick all over the road.

The faster we would of went...The worse it would of been for you..

And dont worry Rog,If you see me in a Stang...I will guarantee that you will have nothing for it...Just like you didnt from a standstill vs the vette...Yeah,That buick got out of the hole great on the street...Only about an Immediate 5 lengths behind the vette,And fading....You have no answer for Traction control.

Anyone would be free to ask Paul how the 1st race from a light went down,In case they think my version is off at all... He wont get involved in the thread,But will back up my account if you ask him about it.

Gn's/T's and TTA's are awesome cars...But technology has caught up and went on by.

unfortunately for you, you don't have your vette anymore since you got rid of it b/c it was junk.

fortunately for me, i have a different setup on my car now that your turd vette wouldn't be able to hang with light to light.

and why do you keep questioning whether or not you're telling the truth, afraid people won't believe you? kind of like when you stated that turbonetics was a jap company, lol.

hey, you beat me that night, but there will be other nights... oh wait, you don't even have a car right now, LOL.

This is one of those topics you could argue both sides all day long and both sides have many great points. Bottom line for me is I've owned 5 Fords in my life time so far. All different years (cars GT's, Trucks, SUV's) and they were ALL a heaping pile of $HIT! I will not own a Ford anything EVER even if they are giving them away! That is what this is all about for me!
